Nature Trails from Anchorage to Seward

Q: Where can I get information on nature trails between Anchorage & Seward–length, difficulty, etc.?

A: For information about Alaska hiking trails between Anchorage and Seward it is best to go to the Chugach State Park website and the Chugach National Forest website. The Milepost guide could also provide information about the location of trailheads along the Seward Highway between Anchorage and Seward.

Park Connection Bus

Q: What is the best way to get from the airport to your bus terminal in Anchorage?

A: To get from the airport to take the Park Connection Motorcoach Service you will need to take a taxi cab. Our morning coaches depart from the Egan Convention Center and the afternoon coaches depart from the Anchorage Museum. Both departure points are in downtown Anchorage. It should cost between $20 and $30 to get downtown.

September Cruises

Q: I’ll be in Anchorage in September for a conference and would like to take a 4+day cruise in the area. What do you recommend?

A: Unfortunately there is no such thing as a four day cruise in the Anchorage area. You can take day cruises from Anchorage in Kenai Fjords National Park or in Prince William Sound. Another option would be to take a seven day cruise from Alaska to Vancouver at the end of your conference. All of the cruise operations are seasonal and end about the middle of September so check your conference dates to see if any of these options work for you.
