Q: In Seward, is there a hotel that offers a 2 bedroom apartment to comfortably accommodate 4 people?

A: Although there are not two bedrooms, the Seward Windsong lodge offers a suite room that would sleep 4 people very comfortably. It offers two queen beds with a twin trundle bed in a separate living area.

Anchorage Rail Depot

Q: Where does the train drop you in Anchorage, is it at the airport or downtown?

A: The Alaska Railroad depot in Anchorage is located downtown. It is about a 15-20 minute cab ride to the airport.

Whittier to Talkeetna Transportation

Q: How far is the train ride from whittier to talkeetna? How many hours?

A: You cannot take the train Whittier to Talkeetna in the same day. You would need to overnight in Anchorage. We do offer a motorcoach service that can get you from Whittier to Talkeetna in the same day. The bus will depart Whittier at 9:45am from the cruise ship dock, you will arrive in Anchorage at 12:00pm and have a layover until 3:00pm at the Anchorage Museum in downtown Anchorage. You arrive in Talkeetna at 5:30pm. The bus costs $120 per person and includes free admission into the Anchorage Museum.

Midnight Golfing in Alaska

Q: Can you provide information on midnight golfing in Alaska?

A: There are several golf courses in Alaska where you can participate in late night golfing. Most courses take tee times up until about 10 PM during the months of June and July. Rates range from about $25 to $45 for 18 holes. Some courses you may want to check out are Anchorage Golf Course, Moose Run Golf Course, Settlers Bay Golf Course and Palmer Golf Course. The Black Diamond Golf Course in Denali offers a midnight golf tour for $79.
