Alaska Bear Viewing

Q: I am planning on a cruise to Alaska this summer and want to be sure and see the bears up close during the salmon feeding season. What is the best time to book my cruise?

A: Bear viewing is best done from land. You will more than likely not see bears at any point during your cruise, though it’s slightly possible at one of your ports of call. The best way to ensure bear viewing is to take a tour specific to bear viewing. We recommend a tour that departs from Anchorage. You are flown to a remote location for prime bear watching. I would also suggest a Denali bus tour through the National Park, I have never taken a bus tour through the park and NOT seen several bears. We can assist you in setting up a land package that would include lodging, activities, and transportation either before or after your cruise in Alaska.
