Alaska Railroad Adventure Class versus Gold Star Service

Q: Could you please tell me what the difference between the Adventure Class and the Gold Star Service on the Alaska Railroad? ?

A: The GoldStar Service is the “first class” service for rail travel. This service features a confirmed seat in the upper level dome car, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages served at your seat, a special GoldStar pin, priority seating in the lower level dining room, and a private outdoor viewing deck. The Adventure class train service features large picture windows, on-board hosts and a cafe offering ‘grab and go’ menu items. There is also a dome viewing car which passengers may enjoy on a shared, rotating basis.
