Denali Bus Tours

Q: We are driving our own rental car to Denali. How do we make arrangements to book a bus tour of the Park?

A: Alaska Tour and Travel offers a variety of bus tours in Denali. I would encourage you to take either the six to eight hour Tundra Wilderness Tour [1] or the thirteen hour Kantishna Wilderness Trails Tour [2]. The Tundra Wilderness Tour travels 50 miles into Denali park. Along the way stops are made for scenic views and wildlife. The driver provides a full narrative about the different sights, wildlife, and history of the park. On any given day in the park Bears, Moose, Caribou, and Dall Sheep can be sighted within the park and if the weather permits beautiful views of Mt. McKinley. Morning or afternoon departures are available.

On the Kantishna Wilderness Trails Tour you will travel 92 miles into Denali Park to the historic mining district of Kantishna. The driver provides a full narrative throughout the park and the tour stops frequently for scenic views, wildlife viewing, and rest stops. Once the tour reaches Kantishna you will visit the Kantishna Roadhouse where the tour breaks for about two hours. A nice sit down lunch is provided at the lodge. After lunch the tour returns back to the park entrance again traveling through Denali National Park in search of wildlife and beautiful scenery.

Either tour can be booked by calling 800-208-0200 for submitting a reservation request [3] through our website.
